Macmillan Cancer Support and Information Assistant

In addition to the meet and greet service and outreach support already described, the post holder will be responsible for providing administrative support and maintaining a specialist resource of up-to-date and accurate information for display within the Macmillan Cancer Support & Information Service (MCSIS) and wards/departments across the Trust. This role will also involve researching new information and local services to support the needs of those affected by cancer and maintaining a signposting directory.
The post holder will be required to co-ordinate, liaise with, and mentor volunteers and newly-recruited staff under the guidance of the Macmillan Cancer Support and Information Service Manager., 1.
