Full Job Description

To provide expert and specialist advice on security management to all levels of the organisation and provide advice and guidance on actions to conform to current legislative and best practice requirements. Carry out detailed research into security legislation and best practice to enable the production, implementation, review, and monitoring compliance of Trust policies relating to security requirements throughout the organisation. Provide specialist advice, guidance and support to managers and staff regarding their Health, Safety and Security responsibilities, undertaking audits and reviews across the Trust. Carry out and advise on the identification of security hazards, suitable and sufficient assessment of risk and identification and recommendation of risk control measures to ensure risk is minimised in compliance with security legislation. Advise and support on risk management as part of the overall approach of risk reduction, taking due regard for legislation and NHS relevant security
standards. Assist in carrying out detailed adverse security incident investigations, including physical assault, RIDDOR incidents and carry out root cause analysis, providing advice on and monitoring the implementation of actions and recommendations, ensuring that robust links are maintained with risk reporting procedures. Autonomously provide professional and timely advice and guidance to all managers and staff across the full range of security issues as and when required.
