Learning Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide 1-1 care and support to an individual with learning disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing compassionate care and assistance to those in need, with extensive experience in managing challenging behaviou.

• Duties:


- Provide emotional support and companionship to the individual

- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals

- Implement behavior management strategies to support individuals with challenging behaviors

- Assist with mobility and transportation needs (if required)

- Maintain accurate records of care provided

Experience in disability support, hospice care, or related fields

- Knowledge of medication administration procedures

- Ability to provide compassionate and person-centered care

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Understanding of behavior management techniques (MUST BE TRAINED IN PBS / PBM / NAPPI OR EQUIVALENT)

- Valid driver's license for transportation (desireable not mandatory)
