Full Job Description

You'll be responsible for overseeing training across the Trust from our care services to our Employability programmes, liaising with the Support and Care Directorates to agree the annual plan of training and development activity aimed at supporting adults with learning disabilities in life, social and work skills, helping them achieve greater independence.,

  • Deliver training in key areas of specialism in adult / LD care and support, creating training materials and records to support the agreed training plan

  • Provide training to employees during induction and probation, ensuring mandatory units are completed on a timely basis

  • Identify individual and team training needs, including accessible training materials. Complete one to one training / coaching sessions as may be required

  • Support line managers to set professional development targets

  • Liaise with department managers to ensure training requirements are met and delivered within budget

  • Ensure all training is in line with CQC Regulations

  • Liaise with external training providers and colleges

  • Access Skills for Care Fund, apprenticeship levy and other grants or funding to ensure best value

  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure certificates are received and recorded.

    2 years' experience as a workplace trainer/coach is essential

  • Specialising in Adult Social Care, Learning Disabilities and Autism (Dementia is an advantage but not essential)

  • Train the trainer or ILM Accredited training course desirable

  • Experience in planning, preparing and delivering training to multiple departments

  • Able to present information effectively using different adult learning theories

  • Creative and engaging style of training delivery using innovative communication tools

  • Understanding individuals learning methods

  • Highly organised and driven

  • Full driving licence is required with access to a motorised vehicle

    Monday to Friday - 09:00 - 17:00 (37.5 hrs)

    Salary - £27,000 - £29,000 (depending on experience)
