Full Job Description
- Lead the estimating process and production of estimates for the business
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation throughout the tender process
- Lead and promote a client focused culture throughout the estimating function
- Lead, manage and develop the estimators to deliver winning tenders
- Review customers drawings and specifications to prepare accurate costing sheets for materials, labour and equipment
- Manage and coordinate subcontract package quotes in support estimates for tenders, including detailed analysis of subcontractor quote returns
- Manage and coordinate the risks and opportunities evaluation process for tenders, ensuring that cost estimates are accurate and reflect the project requirements and risk profile
- Prepare tender approval papers ensuring accuracy and validity of all cost elements and cost information for tender submissions for Board approval
- Provide considered responses to customer questions including post tender queries
- Manage and coordinate an effective handover of bid documentation to the project commercial team
- Manage customer contact, present tender proposals to customers and contribute to customer meetings during the tender process.
Computer literate and proficient in the Microsoft Office suite - Must be a hardworking individual who is willing to learn
- Must have effective written and verbal communication
- Some experience in the industry at some level would be beneficial
- Should be able to focus on attention to detail
- Must be able to manage their time efficiently
