We are seeking a skilled Self-Employed Insulator to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and replacing insulation materials to maintain temperature and conserve energy in various structures., Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using tape measures, handsaws, knives, and scissors.
- Fit insulation around obstructions and shape insulating materials and protective coverings as required.
- Install sheet metal around insulated pipes with screws to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical damage.
- Determine the amounts and types of insulation needed, considering factors such as location, surface shape, and equipment use.
- Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, tanks, and vessels.

Experience in painting, carpentry, plumbing, or similar trades is beneficial.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints to determine the layout of insulation.
- Proficiency in using hand tools like knives, scissors, saws, tape measures as well as power tools for cutting and shaping materials.
- Knowledge of fabricating or assembling materials to build structures is advantageous.
- Familiarity with plastering techniques for finishing surfaces is a plus.
- Capability to work on roofs or elevated platforms when insulating ceilings or upper walls.
