Full Job Description

The Benchmarking Network are looking for a Junior Back-End Developer to join our growing, friendly team of front and back-end developers. You will have the opportunity to work on a new software product from the outset, developing in JavaScript and Python, to help our healthcare clients understand their data to improve the outcomes of their patients, as well as maintaining and improving our existing software suite. You will liaise with our product designers and project managers to understand the needs of our clients, and work with the team to translate those requirements into new product features that delight our users. Assist in designing, developing, maintaining, and deploying new and existing APIs and applications using JavaScript or Python. Write concise and efficient SQL queries. Collaborate with The Benchmarking Network project teams and other Development Hub members to ensure functionalities meet user requirements. Support testing strategies and follow development processes to

maintain product robustness and quality. Contribute to coding standards and best practices. Analyse, debug, resolve performance and functional issues, recommend modifications, or suggest other remedial actions. Create documentation and prepare training materials for users and colleagues. Identify opportunities for innovation, improved productivity, efficiency, and quality within the technical team and across the company. Communicate effectively and establish strong working relationships with colleagues from the Development Hub and across the organisation. Essential Skills A programming-based qualification such as a university degree or bootcamp certification. Strong track record of problem-solving ability. Strong track record of meeting project deadlines. Experience in software development using Python, JavaScript, Golang or similar. Evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience and desire to work in a team. Use of version control repositories (i.e., Git).
