Full Job Description

Salary: £26,975 - £42,080 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

BBC Radio Tees is proud to serve an incredible area, and we reflect that pride through creatively serving our audience and making a difference to where we live.
We're committed to telling amazing stories from our communities, and bringing in new audiences through creating content which generates impact on air and on demand., This is a chance to be part of our friendly and talented team with a real can-do spirit. We are looking for a journalist to join our audio team.
Whilst this is a journalist role which could entail a range of duties, initially you will be focussing particularly on programme production - shaping the output of one of our daytime shows, driving the content, working with presenters and always putting the audience at the heart of everything you do.
You won't be scared to rip up a running order if things change and you'll be dedicated to producing engaging, creative and entertaining content. You'll have bags of ideas and the ability to develop creative treatments for both audio and social media.

We're looking for a talented, creative and experienced producer. You will be organised, meticulous and have sound editorial judgement, as well as being a great team player.
You must have the ability to work under pressure; in a team and on your own and be prepared to work across the rota as needed. You'll know the BBC Radio Tees patch and understand the changing demands of our audiences, as well as understanding our diverse and underserved audiences.
You should have a strong idea of what makes great content on social media and be enthusiastic about continuing to learn new skills.
