Full Job Description

As our new IT Operations Manager, you will lead the technological strategy of the Foundation, ensuring that our IT systems and infrastructure not only support but enhance our operations, effectively advancing the Foundation's mission to maintain Letchworth Garden City as a vibrant and sustainable community.,

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy and delivery plan that aligns with the Foundation's goals, focusing on effective operation and future growth.

  • Develop and ensure compliance with IT policies and ensure they support the Foundation's wider commitment to sustainability and community engagement.

  • Manage delivery risk and compliance in line with our risk management policy, including reporting to our Internal Audit & Risk Committee

  • Manage and enhance the Foundation's cyber security policies and practice, to further protect organisational data and systems.

  • Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services, ensuring efficiency and reliability.

  • Lead IT project management, optimising technology to support diverse Foundation services.

  • Oversee daily IT operations, managing outsourced IT support and ensuring contracts deliver maximum value and service excellence.

  • Manage IT budget in line with our financial procedures and seeking best value

    We are looking for someone with the following knowledge and skills, if you tick the boxes you could be just the person we are looking for;


  • Strong level of expertise in Office 365 and broad technical knowledge, including infrastructure and cybersecurity.

  • Experience in managing outsourced IT services and solution architecture across varied platforms.

  • A strong track record in project management and strategic IT planning.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all organisational levels and external partners.

  • Experience in financial forecasting and budget management.
