Full Job Description

An opportunity has presented itself to participate in a paid 12 month placement based at Parker Hannifin Manufacturing Ltd Team Valley within the GSFE Division.

The placement

In this placement you will be working alongside our highly experienced team of Procurement Specialists that will develop and challenge successful candidates for your future career. You will be able to use and develop different skills sets, including analytical skills, negotiation skills, understanding manufacturing cost and impact of cost on the overall performance of an organization. You will also be exposed and learn about the wider Supply Chain including material control and logistic. A sponsor shall be assigned to each candidate to provide coaching and mentoring, to ensure you maximise the placement. Our aim is to provide you with the best possible experience early in your career so that you can reach your full potential in working life!

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities from day 1, supporting our highly experienced Procurement Specialists and manufacturing teams in delivering real life projects.

  • Continuous support and mentoring through your placement. Your will work with experienced and passionate people and will be given the procurement training to succeed in the role.

    Studying a Supply Chain Degree or Business and Administration having completed year 2.

  • Logical and analytical thinker

  • Good communication maths, and analytical skills, with an ability to review and understand complex data and draw suggestions from the data analysed.

  • Experienced in the use of MS Excel.

  • Enthusiastic about Supply Chain.

  • Self-starter who is proactive in the resolution of challenges to ensure progress is made to plan.
