Full Job Description

We have an Intermediate Care Support Worker vacancy available on our new ward to support the No Criteria to reside patients within our hospital.

This purpose built ward is due to open in the spring and will have the capacity to support 60 patients who will require nursing and therapy interventions. Both the building and the pathways of care are being designed to specifically support this group of patients in a safe and friendly environment.

It will be demanding, but a new concept of care with the introduction of new non registered roles to support this patient group. It will of course be challenging, but also rewarding and exciting to be a part of.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to work with a new team, and together build a great experience for both our patients and the team as a whole.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.

The role will assist the Ward Team (Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists) to carry out daily duties pertaining to the round o'clock care and rehabilitation of patients within a no criteria to reside ward setting.

You adopt a reablement and rehabilitation approach supporting individual patients to maximise their functional abilities and thereby facilitate a safe and timely discharge to a variety of discharge destinations.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, have a caring and compassionate nature and work well within the multidisciplinary team.

The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community Partnership arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.

Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Goole and District Hospital, for NLAG and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.

As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery and oncology.

We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Partnership and our community.
