Full Job Description

  • Advising on HR policy, procedure and best practice on employment relations issues such as staff welfare and terms and conditions of employment.

  • Providing a recruitment service for the department, advising staff on University policy and processes.

  • Management of the departments limit of tenure process.

  • Coordinating the research, academic and student visitor process for the Department.


  • General administration relating to payroll, leave entitlement, sickness, holidays etc.

  • Educated to HND/ HNC level, level 4/ 5 vocational qualification or an equivalent level of practical experience

    Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.

    We are looking for someone with a background in HR and the ability to work on various HR-related items. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be confident in making informed decisions and escalating to the Senior HR Coordinator where necessary. The ability to apply discretion when managing highly confidential information and communicating effectively with all levels of staff and other Departments outside of Medicine is essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career in Human Resources in a progressive and highly driven environment.
