Full Job Description

The post holder will report to the Group Head of Employee Relations. This is an ideal step-up role for HR assistants as full training can be provided. The focus of this role will be to provide high-quality advice to line managers and employees on a broad range of HR processes relating to employee relations, terms and conditions and health & wellbeing. The post holder will be required to develop effective and collaborative approaches to deal with complex staffing issues in individual teams or on a service or college-wide basis in line with our HR policies and procedures., The role will both be fixed term contracts of up to 12 months and there will be cross campus travel as part of the part role between the North Bank sites based at Scarborough, Bridlington, Beverley and Hull. In addition, there will also be travel once per week to work from the main site based in Grimsby as part of the role.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a busy HR office with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport and building trust quickly. You should have working knowledge of current employment law and HR best practice with evidence of continued professional development.

Although not essential, previous experience of working in education would be an advantage.

You must hold GCSE English and Maths and be IT literate in Microsoft Office applications.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills.
