Full Job Description

The Local Highways team delivers highway maintenance across the county in many different settings from villages to historic market towns.

The engineer role is crucial in managing and maintaining the public highway in a safe condition for the community and in fulfilling a number of functions key to providing Wiltshire Council's statutory duty as highway authority.

As an engineer, you will deal with all manner of stakeholders from members of the public, senior management and our consultants and contractors. The work you will do will make a difference to the residents of the county and those who visit.

With a well-established and experienced team, this role offers the opportunity to further develop your career and the chance to help pass knowledge and experience to those taking early steps in theirs to produce the next generation of engineers.

We are looking for a candidate with good problem-solving skills, the ability to mentor, excellent time management skills as well as experience in the highway maintenance field.

Pay: £37,336.00-£39,186.00 per year
