Full Job Description

The candidate will be expected to perform TTE unassisted for outpatients in the community that have been referred from primary care through specific pathways. They will also be required to perform TTE on inpatients during their time in secondary care.. They will need to triage effectively and support the development of GP pathways.

At this level you will also be expected to participate in aspects of service management, including quality assurance, service planning, workforce planning, appraisal, and student supervision.

We are a teaching hospital with students at all levels training in echocardiography within the department. These include STP, ETP and SpR's.

We have an opportunity to work at Selby Hospital during the week to support the new CDC service. The weekend work will be to support the inpatient echocardiography service at York Hospital.We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist, specialising in Echocardiography. The candidate should have BSE accreditation and experience performing transthoracic echocardiography. The department is committed to continuing professional development, with many staff undertaking post graduate and professional qualifications.

This role would be ideal for a Physiologist looking to take the next step in their career, or who is already established at this level but would like a new challenge and to work in the community. We require the successful candidate to be confident in working independently and autonomously.
