Situated in the heart of the Chiltern Hills in the beautiful village of Great Missenden in Buckinghamshire, Gateway School is a co-educational, independent day school for children aged two to eleven, rated 'excellent' in all areas by ISI. It's core belief is that education is not just about academic success; it is about building a foundation that gives each child the confidence and skills they need to be the best they can be now and in the future. Gateway is rightly proud of its diverse range of destination schools, sending its pupils to some of the top state, grammar and independent schools in the country, including Dr Challoner's, Chesham and Aylesbury Grammar Schools, The Royal Masonic School and Berkhamsted School.

Gateway School now seeks to appoint an inspiring Head with a proven track record of leading effectively in a school with high educational standards and a strong sense of community. The school welcomes applications from outstanding school leaders including Assistant and Deputy Heads from the state primary and independent prep sectors, as well as international educators seeking a return to the UK.

The preferred candidate will be a strategically minded and outward-facing leader, able win the trust and confidence of the whole school community. They will bring a commitment to rigorous educational standards, an understanding of the 11+ transfer into leading senior schools and a commitment to working collaboratively as part of a schools

group. Gateway School is part of Bellevue Education, a family of 18 schools educating over 4,000 children from just a few months to 19 years. Bellevue's mission is to achieve academic excellence in an innovative and supportive learning
