Full Job Description

In this role, you will take projects from start to finish. Meeting with a staff member or student representative to hear their ideas and then working closely with them to create their campaigns, sell their products, fight for students' rights and so much more. No day will ever be the same, from designing a cocktail menu, to co-planning our Black History Month marketing campaign.

You will be managed and supported by our Design & Communications Manager. You will support the brand refresh and roll-out, whilst supporting our staff team to ensure their work maintains and supports a strong visual identity and tone for the SU. You will also work closely with the rest of the Marketing and Communications team to deliver outstanding design work that engages our students. We are a small team which means in addition to artworking, there will also be plenty of opportunities to make key decisions from brief to roll-out.

To join us you'll need to have experience of graphic design and an understanding of core design & brand principles, alongside knowledge and experiencing using the Adobe Creative Suite. You'll need excellent organisation skills, a positive attitude, ability to work as part of a diverse team, and be able to work flexibly to deliver to project briefs and deadlines. QMSU is looking for a Graphic Designer to work at the heart of the SU to help all students love their time at University.
