Full Job Description

In this new role, you will work to the Chief Superintendent Tasking and Resilience to achieve best value and service to the public from the Chiltern Transport Consortium (CTC) provision of owned fleet, hire vehicles and personal vehicle mileage claims. You will be responsible for enhancing and embedding processes and systems to improve fleet utilisation. You will play a key part in reducing overall cost, whilst supporting ongoing effort to improve safety through collision reduction and assist Thames Valley Police (TVP) through the fleet transition to alternative fuels.
The role impacts a large number of staff and officers across all areas of the organisation and you will be pivotal in the efficient, effective and ethical application of a circa £2.5m budget and the use and maintenance of a fleet of over a 1000 vehicles covering approximately 16 million miles a year.
You will need to have a strong service delivery background, and a proven ability to develop and maintain highly collaborative and effective working relationships. You will lead on financial and process analytical work and will require excellent communication and influencing skills to present findings and affect culture change and inform decision making. You will also need to act as TVP single point of contact and 'intelligent customer' in the relationship with CTC, providing assurance of the CTC responsibilities., At Thames Valley Police (TVP) we work together to protect our communities.
