Full Job Description

The position of a Finance Partner is a new role where you would have the opportunity to lead the affiliate management accounting for the Novo Nordisk Research Centre in the UK, from budgeting/forecasting through to rolling estimates, variance analysis and reporting to ensure optimal use of financial resources and accurate and insightful management reporting. Great communication and stakeholder management skills will be of essence when acting as a business partner to relevant departments, providing financial information and assisting in financial decision making.

In this crucial role, you will:

  • Lead cost planning and budgeting processes for allocated departments, ensuring investments are focused to drive organizational objectives and have a demonstrable impact on results.

  • Ensure accurate monthly management P&L reporting, including analytics and metrics to monitor performance and cost control.

  • Collaborate with the wider finance function to review and analyse the UK monthly P&L.

  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly financial reporting to stakeholders and continuously improve finance reports and processes to enhance relevance, format, and efficiency.

  • Coordinate with global support teams and lead finance projects as required.


  • In all the above, you will adhere to local regulatory requirements, Novo Nordisk policies, and business ethics procedures.

    We are searching for a seasoned finance partner who is keen to bring their strong knowledge of UK accountancy rules & principles expertise and who has experience working for a large, multinational matrix organization. Being able to cut through complexity and communicate insights in a clear and simple manner and in influencing key stakeholders is an essential quality for the role. We expect our Finance Partner to work independently, with minimal direction, and to be comfortable in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. The person who will thrive in this position is proactive, analytical and has a continuous improvement mindset.,
  • Education to degree or equivalent level (preferable within a financial / management discipline) where qualification in Finance, Accountancy or similar e.g., CIMA, ACCA would be considered an asset.


  • Significant PQE in a Finance role, within an FP&A function, and preferably in a Health Care or a related environment.


  • Demonstrable experience in business partnering and becoming a trusted partner/\'go to\' person, including being confident in dealing with senior stakeholders.

  • Considerable experience in management information reporting, proven results working with planning and forecasting tools and demonstrable ability in analysing complex issues, utilising strategic thinking and implementing solutions.

  • Advanced IT skills in Power BI, Excel, Data Warehouses and Power Point.

  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to provide support to colleagues in different tasks.

  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritise and deliver on objectives across multiple tasks and to tight deadlines.
