Finance & HR Manager

· Financial Operations; Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including monthly reconciliations, VAT returns, payroll processing, purchase ledger control, and credit control.

· Periodic filings & record keeping; Keeping accurate records, ensuring all HMRC obligations are met, including VAT filings.

· Financial Leadership; Lead the financial planning and analysis process, preparing budgets, cash flow forecasts, and long-term financial plans to support informed decision-making.

· HR record keeping; Take the lead role in ensuring that all existing staff have the correct right to work evidence, up-to-date contracts in-line with up-to-date legislation, employer responsibilities and have documented health and safety training.

· HR management; Perform the overall HR managerial role, with assistance from senior management and external HR providers.

· Periodic Audits; oversee and manage all aspects of financial, social and ethical audit requirements. Maintain and oversee the company health and safety records, ensuring compliance at all times.

Must have:

· Proven track record of success in a finance leadership role (minimum 5 years).

· HR experience, although HR management and formal HR qualifications are not essential

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (in particular Excel) and accounting software such Xero, Pegasus Opera and Sage

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

· CIMA or ACCA qualified (or nearing completion).

· Professional HR qualification

· Honours degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field

Reporting into the Managing Director, we require an experienced Finance and HR Manager, providing strong financial leadership who can integrate with a vibrant and experienced team.

The role requires a hands-on individual with a strong financial management background and is adaptable enough to handle the HR needs across the company with the assistance of our external HR provider.
