Full Job Description

  • Manage and maintain financial records, including banking, invoices and credit control.

  • Process and reconcile financial transactions accurately and efficiently.

  • Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to clients.

  • Monitor and chase outstanding payments, following up with clients to ensure timely payment.

  • Liaise with our payroll company to ensure accurate wage records and process payroll in a timely manner.

  • Assist the Accountant with month-end and year-end financial reporting and reconciliation.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

  • Provide support in managing the financial aspects of projects and events.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as required.

  • Stay updated with relevant financial regulations and legislation

  • Handle general administrative tasks related to finance department operations

    Left Bank is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join the team. This is a flexible part-time position and the salary is £23,000 per year (pro-rata). You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial management for the organisation, duties will include banking, invoicing, credit control and keeping records up to date. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in using QuickBooks software (although training will be given) and possess strong attention to detail and organisational skills. The Finance Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records for the organisation are kept and will support the overall financial operations of Left Bank Leeds Charitable Trust., Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance or similar.

  • Experience as a Finance Assistant or Bookkeeper in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in using QuickBooks software (desirable).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

  • Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.

  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Thorough attention to detail.

  • Excellent maths knowledge.

  • The ability to work on own initiative.
