Full Job Description

  • To work with a wide range of representative of families and staff to understand the issues: this will include conducting listening to groups and undertaking any research projects as required

  • To work with the Director of Development, as needed, in facilitating co-creation sessions and reviewing the feedback

  • Work with the internal Learning Disability Consultation Team, to understand the views of the people we support

  • Lead on developing new ways of working involving internal and external stakeholders as appropriate

  • Work with relevant stakeholders to create trial implementation plans

  • Implement and monitor the progress of any trials

    Understanding the Care Act 2014, Safeguarding Legislation and all policies and procedures to run a quality, safe service

  • Experience of working in social care settings with knowledge of family carer communications

  • Experience of co-creation work

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills

  • Creative, can do think outside the box, problem solving approach

  • Motivational skills, able to inspire others

  • Knowledge of research techniques (desirable)

  • Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence with access to a vehicle is required, working in a social care setting: 1 year (preferred)

    Family Carer Co-Creation Lead

    6 Month Fixed Term Contract

    2.5 days (18 Hours) per week

    Salary-£12 720 (£26 500 FTE)
