Event Technician

Our event technicians deliver, install and dismantle our marquees, lighting rigs and AV equipment to premium events around the south east as their primary duty. Time not on site will be spent preparing and maintaining specialist technical equipment, as well as loading vehicles under the direction of our warehouse foreman., Technical responsibilities will include:

• Rigging and derigging truss


• Rigging and cabling lighting fixtures (DMX and power)


• Installing power distribution and running cables in a neat and tidy manner


• Setting up DJ equipment


• Setting up sound systems


• Installing and operating video equipment (LED panels, projectors and TVs)


• Operating lighting and sound equipment for events


• De-prepping technical equipment as it comes back into the warehouse


• Ensuring all technical equipment is prepped and ready for events


• Diagnosing and repairing any damaged technical equipment


Non technical responsibilities will include:

• Erecting and dismantling marquees


• Fitting linings, carpet and power distribution within our marquees


• Installing a range of non-technical event equipment (dancefloors, furniture, bars, etc.)


• Loading and unloading vehicles


• Delivering equipment to site with company vehicles


• Maintenance and preparation of equipment at our warehouse


• Following event plans and documentation to a high degree of accuracy


• Helping colleagues in other roles when it is of overall benefit to the company
  
  You will need to be able to get to our Warehouse in Edenbridge for 8am and on special occasions even earlier. There is lots of paid overtime available including evening and weekends some of which will be mandatory.


The right candidate will be hard working, intelligent, courteous and will have a good level of knowledge regarding lighting, video and sound systems. The role will require long days of physically demanding work. Working well as part of a team is crucial as the vast majority of work will be working in a team however you must be confident and capable working by yourself. Initiative and quick thinking are often required in this fast-paced industry. • A working knowledge of sound, lighting and video systems.


• A positive mindset and can do attitude


• At least 5 GCSE's with grade A- C (or equivalent qualification)


• Full UK Driving Licence


• Availability to work long hours including evenings and weekends as required


• You must be able to make your own way to and from our warehouse


Preferred

• B+E Trailer licence


• Experience in event or marquee rigging


• Experience in basic carpentry or event power, technical events: 1 year (required)
