Our Business and Professional Learning Senior Managers lead with vision; they are at the forefront of thinking; developing new and innovative approaches and paving the way to helping individuals and the firm reach their full potential. Working closely with relevant stakeholders in Learning and in the firm, our Senior Learning Business Partners, the Talent CoE specialists, and our Design team, you will be one of 7 x B1 Learning Senior Managers who will create an engaging and relevant experience for our colleagues and help them to lead with purpose, lead inclusively, lead professionally and lead ethically, keeping us safe and compliant with our regulatory requirements.,

  • Ethics and Risk Learning Lead - Leads on the Ethical Health Plan from a learning perspective and works with Ethics, IDE and Risk as the SME and the design team to design and deliver an effective ethical health and regulatory learning curricula

  • Strategic Accelerator Learning Lead - Leads on and accelerates priorities aligned to our strategy, such as AI and ESG. Works with the AI and ESG experts as an SME and the design team to design and deliver effective AI and ESG curricula

  • Commercial Sector and Professional Skills Learning Lead - works with Sales and Commercial as the SMEs and the design team to design and deliver an effective sales and professional skills learning curricula

  • New Partner Development Lead - working closely with Business and Professional Learning Lead and Partnership Office to deliver a first-class experience for our newly appointed Partners

  • Established Partner Development Lead - Working closely with the Partnership Office the role creates an engaging and relevant leadership development experience for our Partners, an end-to-end strategic approach for our experienced Partners

  • Leadership Skills Lead - work to understand and deliver a 'leadership skills first' approach to leadership development curricula (at grades up to and including Director)

  • Performance and Talent Development Lead - Working with Business and Professional Learning Lead to ensure a quality and expert approach is taken to all performance development initiatives and the firms Talent Agenda

    Reporting to a Business and Professional Skills Learning Lead, you will be expected to build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, at different levels of the Firm, to understand business demands and will work with both the Business and Professional Learning Lead and Capability Senior Learning Business Partners to carry out learning needs analysis to define ongoing learning outcomes. You will build strong relationships with the design and enablement teams and work with external vendors where necessary and appropriate to bring leading edge thinking into our work. The role sits in a wider learning team, and it is expected the role holder will work across portfolios and support wider learning events and projects where needed.

    You will be a role model for collaboration to those around you; influencing, coaching, facilitating, performance consulting, motivating and challenging where appropriate. Facilitation is a core part of this role encompassing, but not limited to, delivery of KPMG Values Day, Milestone events, Student Induction, and various Faculty programmes and other learning and development events as required., Planning
  • Building trusted advisor relationships with business stakeholders in the business unit/Capability area/business expertise area.

  • Support the planning and participation of an annual learning needs analysis within your business expertise area, to develop an understanding of the current and future learning needs (including on-going projects, issues, business drivers, etc.), enabling greater clarity around key issues and the development of effective L&D solutions.

  • Support with inputting into the annual budget process.

  • Representing learning on relevant management committee structures within the business unit/Capability and influencing the agenda to ensure that the learning business case is fulfilled.


  • Strategic Management
  • Bring an expert view of the area of expertise and participate in firm-wide learning projects for design and delivery to ensure business solutions are innovative and practical and aligned to business objectives.

  • As an expert, lead on projects, and represent the business into projects for business-driven curriculum, sit in design and delivery project meetings to ensure alignment with client needs.

  • Manage the scheduling and implementation of training within your area of expertise, working closely with Enablement and KLS

  • Identify and manage/coordinate key business content developers and SMEs to work within the Design & Delivery construct and ensure end product is fit for purpose and delivered within budget and timeframes.

  • Identify and source where appropriate, quality external providers to meet requirements and bring outside thinking into your area of expertise

  • Work closely with Business and Professional Learning Director to ensure de-duplication, retirement of old content and management of existing catalogue

  • Forecast budget requirements and integrate into annual ISQM1 cycle

  • Ensure behavioural change management approaches and processes are developed within firm-wide Ethics, Values and Risk frameworks implementations; work closely with stakeholders across the business area to ensure all mandatory training is fulfilled.


  • Operational excellence
  • Responsible for checking that the Subject Matter Expert (SME) has been approved

  • Responsible for adhering to the CPD Policy and inputting CPD hours on the Release to Service (RTS)

  • During the Design and Develop stage works closely with the SME, Design Managers to ensure successful Alpha, Beta, Gold approvals for training materials

  • Responsible for checking the completeness and accuracy of the course information in LMS, by checking the LMS entry against the approved RTS form and Training Population.

  • Raising any queries with the KLS team via email and once satisfactorily resolved approving the course in JIRA.

  • Responsible for checking the Business and Professional Learning Lead has reviewed and approved the list of facilitators and their qualifications prior to assigning for delivery

  • Responsible for facilitator prep time; emailing the time commitments with the individuals and Resourcing teams (where they are responsible for sourcing facilitators and allocating time on Retain).

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining Programme Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) and Course Summary Documents for Mandatory and High Priority learning needs

  • Responsible for ensuring all key training documentation and final content materials (or links to final content materials) are stored in the Learning Repository

  • Manages all Demand and Scheduling Planning for learning

  • Develop and provide meaningful management information to the business unit/Capability meetings for learning consumption and quality/risk purposes and to measure the effectiveness of learning and support the achievement of its goals.

  • Facilitate the implementation of Code of Conduct, risk and compliance learning and awareness across all grades, Sectors and business lines, as needed.

  • Conduct, manage and measure the impact of learning campaigns.

  • Ensure the learning curriculum, and wider suite of development solutions, remains relevant and is able to adapt to changing business requirements.

  • Monitor the budget aligned to your faculty areas

  • Escalate Design issues where stakeholders are falling behind on partnering to convey content requirements.

    Degree at a Bachelor level required.

  • Several years' experience in a similar role within Professional Services or a large, matrix structured firm

  • Experience and passion in learning and talent development, with a firm grasp on adult learning theory

  • Relevant experience in vendor management, assessment tools and learning models

  • Adept at communicating, influencing, coaching, educating, challenging, and managing senior stakeholders.

  • Strong financial management/commercial acumen.

  • Strong project and programme management skills

  • Strong facilitation skills

  • Evidence of CPD and up to date knowledge on learning strategy

  • Ability to understand and develop effective L&D and OD strategies while understanding the implications from a culture, business success and company practice standpoint.

  • The ability to translate client business needs into realistic and achievable plans.

  • The ability to role model collaboration, and consult confidently, effectively, and independently with senior levels of the organisation.

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to address diverse organisational stakeholders at all levels.
