Full Job Description

We are looking for an Employment Support Worker (Internally known as a Specialist Employability Support Worker) who will tailor 1-2-1 employability support to help young people better prepare for the uptake of training and employment opportunities.

Someone to help improve opportunities for diverse groups and females; and tackle poverty through education, removing barriers and improving access.

The aim is to support care leavers and homeless young people living in CCP's supported accommodation in Gloucestershire (Cheltenham, Stroud, Gloucester and Lydney - Forest of Dean) through an employability and social inclusion programme.

You will be experienced and have the specialised skills to enable young people to be better prepared for work.

The role will include

  • Personal action planning and development.

  • Training.

  • Strengths-based skills.

  • Mentoring.

  • Work experience opportunities.

  • Referrals to other relevant agencies.

  • Tracking of personal milestones and outcomes.


  • You will be required to travel within your designated area of work, therefore a full driver's licence and your own transport are essential.

    You'll be set up so you can do a mix of home working and in your locality office.

    Salary: £23,800 per year - Band B

    Hours Per Week: 37.5 hours a week 9-5 Monday-Friday. Fixed term contract until 26th May 2025
