Full Job Description

The DTP Cohort Development Officer (CDO) will provide high quality cohort development support for the Midlands Graduate School (MGS) Economic and Social Research Council Doctoral Training Partnership (ESRC DTP), with a specific focus on programme, training, and event design, management, and delivery.

The CDO will support the Warwick-based DTP Programme Manager by managing the DTP's MA Social Science Research and delivering local events, and support the DTP Consortium Manager by designing and delivering a range of training and development opportunities for MGS-funded students across the partner institutions in the MGS consortium.

This will include building strong working relationships with MGS-funded students and a variety of academic and administrative staff across the partnership.

The role will require occasional travel between MGS partners, including overnight stays several times a year, and at least one week-long writing retreat per year which will be further afield.

You will have previous administrative experience, and be an enthusiastic, motivated self-starter. An ability to manage a wide-ranging workload and to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the ESRC Midlands Graduate School in its next phase of development. Led by the University of Warwick, it is an accredited Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Doctoral Training Partnership and forms part of the ESRC's Doctoral Training Network which significantly widens access for postgraduates to ESRC funding across the UK. https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/mgsdtp/

The successful candidate will be part of a small team which, in turn, is part of the Warwick Doctoral College.
