Full Job Description

Produce Personal Development Profiles for self and staff within the team. Training, facilitation, audit and leadership. To actively engage in all aspects of Patient Safety. Performing staff rota, taking into account skill mix and budget under the supervision of the unit manager. Demonstrate and understand the standards regarding Outpatient Settings and awareness of capacity and demand within the unit. Ensure effective communication takes place by regular documented team meetings incorporating new policies and guideline into practice. Establish and maintain effective communications with link nurses and ensure resource files are updated. Resolve conflict using a range of problem solving styles. Deputise and lead the team in the absence of the unit matron. Ensure Clinical Supervision and reflection is adopted into practice. Supervision and participating in the delivery of a high standard of individualised nursing care. To ensure team development through educational analysis maximising
opportunities for education and staff development. Monitor patient and family satisfaction. Hold delegated budget to authorise agency, overtime where necessary Influence the development of new services and quality improvement programmes. To participate in the units recruitment and retention in conjunction with the unit manager. Ensure effective Risk Management Assessment. Demonstrate commitment to IWL principles and flexible working patterns, to meet the needs of the service and staff Tackle discrimination and harassment, and promote equality and diversity in the workplace Reduce sickness absence; work place accidents; and promote zero tolerance on violence against staff
