Full Job Description

At Lasered Components Ltd we are looking for a Credit Controller (Part time) to assist the Accounts team in managing, processing, and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions whilst managing all aspects of internal processes in conjunction with the Sales department.,

  • To assist with credit control and the Sales Ledger. Monitor any payments that need to be chased by Email and / or phone. Follow up on invoices that are due, overdue and any accounts in arrears.

  • Report and escalate any unpaid invoices or sticking points within credit control to the Accounts Assistant/ Manager.

  • Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified and raise them to the Accounts Assistant / Accounts Manager and customers.

  • General account queries, sending copy invoices etc

  • Fluid written and verbal communication in all correspondence.


  • Compliance

  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR in relation to the role and department

  • Security and encryption / password protecting documents

  • Personal safety when banking, Work Pattern: Contractual 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday (availability to increase hours by January 2025):

  • 8 hours per day Wednesday onsite with a 30-minute lunch break taken at your discretion.

  • Rest of the time to be agreed with Line Manager, working either 8 hours any other day, or 4 hours any other 2 days in the week (onsite or working from home).

    Experience as Purchase Ledger and Accounting.

  • Customer Service skills.

  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • A good working knowledge of QuickBooks is essential.

  • Initiative to work under your own steam when necessary and understand that this is a key role to support the growth of the department.

    Flexible and hybrid working pattern available after training period but reliable to commute to the office when required.
