Cook

Hetton New Dawn is looking for an experienced cook to work every Wednesday to provide meals to approximately 40/50 people. They will start at 8am and prepare the food which will be served at 12pm. They should be trained in food hygiene, and they should also be aware of health and safety regulations which we can provide training for if not up to date. The cook will be supported by the community development worker and volunteers. We are looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, and able to work in a busy environment. Hetton New Dawn work with vulnerable and elderly adults therefore the job requires a DBS check.
Essential: Must have experience of catering for large numbers, must be reliable and able to work as part of a team with volunteers.
Desirable: Knowledge of health and safety and a food hygiene qualification but will offer full training.
