Full Job Description

This role will oversee a small finance team, managing the day-to-day finances and reporting directly to the MD. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of the full M/E process

  • Management of daily cashflow

  • Ownership of the monthly payroll process

  • Ownership of the monthly board pack process

  • Ownership of the weekly payment runs

  • First point of contact for all finance queries

  • Business partnering with the MD and wider business

  • Assisting with the management of the external funding agreements

    Qualified accountant (or qualified by experience) - Essential

  • Management experience - Desirable

  • Able to work well under pressure and manage own workload - Essential

  • Excellent organisational skills and a strong work ethic - Essential

  • Good knowledge of Excel and other MS Office software - Essential

  • Experience of working in the insolvency industry or with client money - Desirable

  • Experience of working with Xero accounts software - Desirable

    Parker Philips Insolvency operates in the personal insolvency industry.


  • Privately funded, it has grown rapidly in the last 12-18m, now managing a growing caseload of over 3,000 IVAs and generating ~£2/3m per year in turnover.

    This role will replace the existing finance lead as the business looks to consolidate and secure maximum value from it's caseload over the coming years.
