Full Job Description

We are excited to be recruiting a highly self-motivated Paediatric Nurse to join our experienced team. You will work alongside our experienced Paediatric Nurse to train our Support Teams to provide high quality support to children with complex needs. This will include training and competency support for community-based nursing support packages for children and young people with complex and long-term conditions/needs including Acquired/Traumatic Brain Injury, Neurological Conditions, Spinal Injury, Palliative Care, Tracheostomy, Ventilation support, PEG support and Catheter care etc.

You will be responsible for the facilitation of a high-quality learning environment to ensure the children and young people KEYFORT support have safe, effective, caring and responsive care teams. You will work closely with a variety of departments including management, support workers and external professional organisations to ensure education is an excellent standard. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in support delivery, guiding teams with effective support planning and risk assessments.

Your focus must always be to enable staff teams to make a real difference to the children and young people we support. A self-starter with a positive problem-solving attitude is essential. This role is ideal for a nurse who is seeking a new challenge, or has a passion for training others within a progressive and dynamic social care organisation.

Qualified Paediatric Nurse with a current and valid NMC pin.

Experience of Brain Injury/Neurological conditions, complex respiratory needs and community-based Nursing preferred.

Experience working with healthcare assistants and support workers preferred.

Competent using IT software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Primarily, the hours will be ad hoc and the successful candidate must be flexible as occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
