Full Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaning Team Leader to join our Facilities team at an Academy (secondary school) in Islington. This is a permanent part-time role working 15 hours per week from 05:00 to 08:00 Mon to Fri.,

  • Reporting to the Manager

  • To lead the housekeeping team ensuring the building is cleaned to the approved standards

  • To carry out cleaning duties and waste management in accordance with the SLAs

  • Responsible for managing and motivating staff to maximise departmental stability and ensure high standard of customer care

  • To inform relevant managers of any problems, client or staff related and ensure all HR matters are addressed and company procedures are applied

  • To assist in training using BICS as a guide

  • Working 15 hours per week from 05:00 to 08:00, Mon to Fri

    Previous experience in a similar role, working with, and supervising a diverse work force is essential

  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide range of people

  • Must have IT skills and be familiar with computerised facilities management systems

  • Will have the ability to use own initiative and work under pressure, while maintaining good attention to detail

  • A team player with a flexible, conscientious approach to the work

  • Desirable to be BICS stage 1 qualified
