The Abbeyfield Ryde Society have over 60 years' experience as one of the Isle of Wights leading providers of sheltered Independent housing, The Society Is a Registered Charity run by a Board of professional volunteers. We pride ourselves on providing secure, relaxed and homely environments within our two homes. We are one of the few societies who have live-In House Managers; combined with an out of hours system for our residents should they feel unwell, Volunteers play an important role within our society and we have a diverse, hardworking board of trustees who guide and support our House Managers to provide excellent services to our residents
We are looking for someone with skills and experience in charity governance, who is able to prepare the society for the future and to work closely with our management team. You will be asked to commit to six bi-monthly board meetings a year. Out of pocket expenses are paid and training is offered
