Full Job Description

You will be registered with BABCP as a CBT Therapist and will have experience of working within a physical health setting delivering individual and group interventions. You will preferably have good knowledge of the current evidence base in relation to psychological approaches to pain management. We are particularly keen to recruit an enthusiastic and high calibre candidate with interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. It is an exciting time to be joining Connect Health pain services, as we continue to grow and develop our interdisciplinary pain services across the UK. Connect Health are delivering the Flippin Pain public health campaign and were highly rated by the NHS Change Challenge panel for their ehealth pain innovations in response to COVID-19. Our service in Durham and Darlington is a community Persistent Pain service that provides a single point of access for NHS patients enabling a seamless and efficient patient journey. You will be part of a large, dynamic
multidisciplinary team. The community service design allows clinicians to work together to deliver seamless and evidence-based care for patients and enables inter-disciplinary learning. The successful candidate will deliver face to face individual assessments and therapy sessions as well as group Pain Management Programme sessions alongside colleagues. Some clinical work will be done remotely through telephone and video consultations as well as via digital platforms.
