Category and Marketing Coordinator - Leeds

Working in one of Asda's most strategically important categories, it will be your role to support creating and deploying all elements of the customer actviity plan. You will work collaboratively with trading, suppliers, category execution and corporate marketing teams to prioritise, plan and execute customer campaigns and ensure that it is replicated across all formats.

• Deliver the joint media plan target by aligning supplier brand plans into category & business strategy and track category TPA to feed into overall category P&L.


• Update P&L to trading monthly. Understand supplier brand plans in order to align to strategy.


• Own monthly meetings with supplier shopper marketing teams to align on media plans & ensure investment stays as commitment. Works hand in hand with To deliver and execute media plans aligned to the category strategy.


• Lead the Branded & category Promotional POS execution i.e shippers, seasonal aisle and in run branded bays. Manage category budget to book POS and media


• Support to deliver key category propositions that have real impact. Work hand in hand with commercial, retail, own brand, customer & online teams to plan, execute & review. Support delivery of the agreed category proposition (and any trials associated) and works with peers across teams to execute well.


• Activate the customer-facing trade & activity plan in-store and online - executes agreed quarterly activity & trade plans for the category.


• Work with customer & PR team to ensure our best activity gets corporate media support for owned categories - own category trade plan and provide clarity to the customer team on any changes on deals.


• Eyes and Ears, regularly review competitor activity and current ASDA execution through store visits, inspiration visits and reviewing supplier packs and identifying areas for opportunity.
