Full Job Description
- The Care supervisor is responsible for setting up the care plan and any risk assessments needed for each customer and making sure we deliver what we promise. This involves visiting new customers, and where they wish it, their families, to create a tailored care and support plan. Due to this Business Insurance is required on your vehicle.
- Together with the Registered Manager you will find a care worker with the right skills, knowledge and personal attributes to match the customer's requirements. The supervisor will then introduce the care worker to the customer and keep the customer up to date with any changes.
- Excellent communication skills are key to this vital role.
- The Care supervisor has responsibility for taking new care workers through the induction process and providing on-going guidance, training and supervision. You will often find yourself in the role of assessor, mentor, coach and trainer.
- Care supervisors are responsible for coordinating their staff rotas and customer visits within their own teams area
- Care supervisors need to be compassionate and self-assured, and have the knowledge and ability to model good practice whilst being prepared to challenge poor performance. You will regularly monitor the quality of service that your team of care workers provide and take action to make improvements if necessary
- Access to own transport including Business Insurance.
- You must also deliver an emergency On Call service per a monthly rota.
- Occasional emergency cover for care may be required.
- Alternate weekend availability required
- You must have a good understanding of what people in need of home care and support require, and of best practice in providing social care, with a range of customers.
- Care supervisors will be expected to have, a level 3 QCF (qualifications credit framework NVQ).
£26,000 - £28,000 a year - Permanent, Full-time, Annual salary of £26,000 during probation (rising to £28,000 after successful completion of 3 months probation) - 35 days of annual leave
