Full Job Description

The Care Administrator will provide first line management and lead a small team of support staff.

You will be responsible for ensuring all current and newly referred individuals receive high quality, person centred support. You will work in a timely way to ensure that support plans and all relevant documentation for newly referred individuals is in place with a six week period.

You will lead and support practice development within the team and will provide coaching and mentoring to team members. In order to ensure the Care Administrator has the opportunity to establish and maintain direct contact and involvement with those we support, an element of the role will be direct support provision.

You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining up to date support plans

and co-ordinating the provision of high quality, individualised, support by support

staff. You will ensure good joint working practices are established and maintained.

Hours/Environment

You will be required to work shifts as part of a team providing 24-hour cover, seven days a week and have on-call duties on a rota basis. Your time would be split between the office and other settings such as service users' homes and other community settings.

Duties and Responsibilities

Main responsibilities with individuals

· Provide individuals with care and support in aspects of daily living.

· Administer and manage medication in accordance with policy and procedure

· Complete accurate records and ensure that each individual has an up to date support plan

· Promote safe working practices and respond to emergencies as required

· Carrying out meetings

· Electronic monitoring management

· Auditing of care records including service user files

General

· Adhere to all policies and procedures

· Implement and monitor systems according to policy and procedure

· Ensure quality standards are maintained

· Assist the manager to investigate complaints and concerns

· Attend meetings when required

· Attend and undertake learning and development as required

· Promote and ensure the good reputation of the organisation

· Carry out any other tasks reasonably assigned to you

· Provide direct support and care provision at short notice

Staff

· Provide coaching and mentoring to staff

· Lead staff in writing, implementing and reviewing support plans which reflect the interests and wishes of the individual

· Be a visible and competent role model to the team

· Ensure that appropriate reports are submitted as scheduled and that staff in your team do likewise
