CAD Technician

IMMEDIATE REQUIREMENT FOR A FULL TIME CAD Technician, Based in Hillsborough we are a Growing Fabrication Company that is well established within the Access industry supplying Access Products in both Aluminium and Steel to a high standard which comply with UKCA and CE standards., The CAD operator must have a good working knowledge of computer-aided design or CAD systems, Autodesk Revit & BIM systems to make drawings and plans which can be used to facilitate the efficient & safe installation of the Ascent Range of products and anything else that requires a design prior to being manufactured.,

• Understands the quotations and written instructions from clients, designers and engineers before beginning a CAD drawing.


• Draws layout of buildings from client instructions to allow the Ascent range to be added. Revises drawings based on instructions from engineers or clients.


• Occasional visits to sites\locations to collect data for drawings.


• Consults with engineers to understand their instructions and to support queries. Reviews engineering data to ensure compliance with the original design plans.


• Modifies existing drawings. Meets all deadlines. Stores drawings electronically Programs drawings into schedules for priority


• Office related duties as and when required
  
  Must be mechanically inclined. Must have excellent communication skills. Must have superior computer skills. Must have good math skills, Knowledgeable CAD Operator, Education and Experience, and Autodesk CAD knowledge with some proven experience


If required, must be able to travel to various sites to gather data and consult with contractors & clients to collect data regarding design or to any other associated work where CAD drawings will be used. Must be able to work under pressure, particularly when faced with a tight deadlines. Role is based in our office in Sheffield.,
