Buyer / Planner

We are looking for a Buyer/Planner to work within our Procurement Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement of materials and supporting the Planning function with material status and clear kit dates.

Main Duties:
Review SOB daily to ensure Customer deliveries are executed as planned
Assist Planning with Production Planning if required
Run Customer OTIF reports
Actively interact with Purchasing and Planning to provide direction regarding material availability or limitations against inventory/production plans and develop action plans to address.
Communicate/escalate issues as needed to stakeholders
Manage the MRP for a nominated list of commodities or parts.
Place orders in a timely manner to meet Customer demands
Review and monitor goods and services to meet production requirements

GCSE English & Maths

Experience required:
Previous experience in a similar role (Purchasing/Planning)
Strong level of computer literacy
High level of accuracy and keen eye for detail
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Positive and flexible approach to new challenge
Use of ERP systems, preferably EPICOR (desirable)
Broad end to end supply chain and operations process knowledge (desirable)
