Full Job Description

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for running the cost-effective supply of materials & services in line with company processes based on customer requirements, whilst maintaining quality and on-time delivery standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for handling sales requests for quotation on potential new projects. Internally, you will provide excellent customer service to our Order Winning, Operations, Project Management, Engineering and Finance teams.
How You'll Make an Impact

  • Process purchase requests by creating and releasing purchase orders to suppliers.

  • Purchase order management, including tracking/expediting to ensure a cost-efficient supply of materials in line with demand.

  • Issue requests for quotations (RFQ) in a professional manner using electronic methodology where appropriate and maintain ethical standards.

  • Support Order Winning enquiries in an efficient manner.

  • Coordinate with suppliers to meet operational/customer requirements and ensure clear communication & escalation of risks to relevant stakeholders.

  • Develop relationships with key suppliers.

  • Supervise supplier delivery and quality performance and address performance issues with suppliers as required.

  • Demonstrate strong customer focus by handling requests in a timely manner & to a high standard.

  • Communicate efficiently and expertly with internal and external partners.

  • Actively seek process optimization and improvement opportunities in relevant areas (e.g. MoQ optimization, bundling of purchase orders, etc.)

  • Identify & implement sourcing strategies, ensuring effective execution and profitability.

  • Negotiate Terms and Conditions and complete contractual agreements, including prices and payment terms.

  • Work closely with Operations to ensure adherence to project requirements, such as required timelines, cost & quality.

  • Proactively prevent and handle quality defects with each supplier.

  • Ensure all purchases are aligned with ECC, RoHS and REACH requirements.

  • Represent the Procurement function at cross functional meetings in a collaborative and efficient manner.

  • Conduct supplier meetings either virtually or at site in a constructive, results orientated manner.

  • Continually look for efficiency opportunities and use of eBusiness tools.

  • Actively contribute to sustainability throughout the supply chain.

  • Follow Company policies at all times, for example, Business Conduct Guidelines and Confidential Information.

    A minimum of a bachelor degree or equivalent in a Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Technical subject.

  • Excellent experience required within Procurement, Supply Chain, Tendering or Project Management.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Highly skilled with Microsoft office products (Power Point, Word and Excel). Experience with SAP is desirable.

  • Must be customer focused and a collaborative teammate.

  • Ability to assess priorities, demonstrate flexibility and understand urgent requests.

  • Self-motivated, demonstrate problem solving abilities, continuous improvement and decision-making skills.
