Full Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. As an Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support to the accounting department for our two companies.

This is a part time position (15 hours a week covering Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) managing the day to day accounts for the company. The candidate must have experience in using SAGE 50 accounts package and be comfortable with chasing unpaid invoices. The post holder will be expected to prepare the year end accounts ready to go to the Off Site Accountancy firm at our year end. There will also be various office admin tasks involved in this position on an ad hoc basis.

Duties:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
- Knowledge of Duty and Vat procedures
- Quarterly Vat Returns
- Run the monthly payroll

Experience as an Bookkeeper
- Proficient in using accounting software (Sage 50) and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
