Full Job Description

As a Blast and Paint Supervisor, you will be responsible to coordinate and control all resources allocated to the project to maintain a productive working environment in direct support of the KAEFER Group contracts in the Marine operation.

Key duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

> Check all operatives are wearing the correct PPE for allocated tasks and that they are "fit for purpose"

> Accountable for leading and controlling skilled labour and work crews engaged in all activities concerned with the blasting, painting and coating work aspects of the project

> Accountable for the optimisation of all resources to ensure the efficient and timely completion of all work packages

> Accountable for supervising and coordinating activities of work crews engaged in the mechanical or aqueous surface preparation of substrates for coating, including sand-blasting, bead-blasting, water jetting and other methods

> Accountable for supervising and coordinating activities of work crews engaged in applying protective coats of paint to exterior or interior surfaces relative to the project work packages

> Responsible for keeping records of all work completed and the completion of "Daily Allocation Sheets/ SSR Records"

> Responsible for exercising discipline at the worksite to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness

> Responsible for enforcing strict compliance with all QA/QC and Safety procedures, plus all company rules and regulations

The ideal candidate for the role will have excellent communication and leadership skills which will enable them network and build relationships. They will have the ability to prioritise, delegate and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, where they can demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills. The candidate must also have strong IT skills.

Essential:

> Experience in a leadership and management role

> Experience of managing conflict

> Experience of workforce planning, forecasting and development

> TPT/ICATS- Industrial Coat Applicator Training

> DBS Check

> Security Clearance

> Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

> Knowledge of warships and submarines

> Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams

> Experience of performance management, including appraisal writing, staff development and disciplinary procedures

> Experience of working in the industrial services sector

> ILM- Leadership and Management Certification
