Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Bid Manager to join our team. The Bid Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, from initial opportunity identification through proposal submission. The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, strong analytical abilities, and a proven track record of successfully winning bids. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, operations, partnerships and finance.

The ideal candidate must be flexible and willing to travel across as and when required.,

  • Identify and evaluate potential bid opportunities, assessing their alignment with Fedcap's strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate with the commercial team and other internal stakeholders to develop a bid strategy, including win themes, value proposition, and pricing strategy.

  • Lead and coordinate the bid process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand customer requirements, competitive landscape, and market trends.

  • Develop and write compelling, customer-focused proposals that effectively communicate Fedcap's solutions and value proposition.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure technical accuracy in proposals.

  • Coordinate and manage bid-related resources, including writers, designers, and other contributors.

  • Conduct reviews and quality checks to ensure compliance with bid requirements.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders and senior management, seeking input and approval on bid strategies and proposals.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, business development, marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in bid management or a similar role, preferably in a public commissioning environment (with some B2B sales experience, if possible).

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.

  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from various sources.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality proposals.

  • Proficiency in using bid management software and tools.

  • Familiarity with the procurement process and government regulations (preferably in employability or health related services).

  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
