Full Job Description

We are looking for an Automation Apprentice to work alongside our Automation Fitter and Design Engineers.

What you'll be doing

Assist with assembly, fitting and alignment of new machines and assemblies
Assist with the modification and alignment of existing machines and equipment
Modify parts as necessary to ensure the correct fit and function
Fault finding and repairs to equipment during commissioning and after instalment
Order, receipt and control of both parts from suppliers and consumables
Support the delivery of projects to ensure operational and production requirements are fulfilled
Assist with maintenance training during machine handover
Contribute to discussions in relation to new machines and modifications
Support production, product engineering and maintenance when required
Assist with the build and wiring of elements of the control systems of machines
Ensure all assemblies are correct to drawings and operate as per the information supplied
Detail any modifications to the design and commissioning engineers to ensure drawings are updated accordingly
Ensure documentation is supplied with purchased parts, stored safely so can be passed to the user during machine handover

This position will be on a full time, working dayshift. To provide its employees an improvement in work/life balance, CMP operates a 9-day fortnight (9/10) where staff employees have the opportunity to work compressed working hours and as a result have every other Friday as a day off., Hands-on experience
