Full Job Description

As Associate Pay Assistant, your role is to prepare and manage associate payments efficiently and accurately, providing a professional and courteous customer service to associates and internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with associate statements and payments in an accurate and timely manner
+ Assist with the quarterly clawbacks and grid calculations for all associates, ensuring accuracy and attention to deadlines
+ Prepare and reconcile all NHS superannuation payments ensuring excellent communication with associates
+ Assist with the reconciliation of relevant control accounts in the balance sheet
+ Maintain the Associate Pay System data ensuring relevant forms are processed in a timely manner
+ Assist with all year end data returns to include HMRC and the NHS
+ Provide a professional and courteous service to internal and external customers
+ Work in conjunction with practice teams to ensure prompt and accurate local resolution of any associate pay queries
+ Ensure all associate overpayments are reclaimed using appropriate procedures
+ Maintain accurate financial records
+ Prepare and issue statements to all associates in a timely manner
+ Liaise with practice teams to ensure all associate payments are accurate
+ Ensure full compliance with all internal, external and legislative requirements

Essential:
+ Attention to detail
+ Demonstrable experience of bulk data input in an accurate and efficient manner
+ Computer literate, particularly Excel
+ Demonstrable excellent customer service skills
+ Proactive approach to dealing with issues
+ Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines
+ Prioritisation and time management
+ Demonstrable ability to reconcile data
Nice to have:
+ Experience of using Unit 4
+ Relevant accountancy qualifications e.g. AAT or Book keeping
+ Relevant accounts experience
