Full Job Description

The Associate Director, Human Resources is a key member of our HR team and trusted partner to senior stakeholders for their assigned area(s). This is a pivotal role whose primary objective will be to lead the development, implementation, and execution of the People Plan for their assigned area(s), that aligns to the Global HR Strategy and supports delivery of the business strategy and growth objectives.
A high-level strategic yet hands-on operational role, this position requires a seasoned HR professional who can leverage their expertise to drive initiatives that enhance performance, build capability, and improve the colleague experience within their assigned area(s)
Summary:
Strategic Partner: A strategic partner aligned to an Executive Committee member(s) and their senior leadership team(s). Provide challenge and advice with both strategic and operational HR focus to help shape commercial plans for their business area(s).
People Strategy: Understands business strategy and objectives, translating these into [local] HR initiatives and workforce plans (People Plan) aligned to the commercial requirements of their area(s). Provide input into the Global People strategy.
Change Management: Proactively address global organisational changes, providing expertise on change management strategies, including acquisitions, restructuring and disposals. Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess the impact of change and develop communication plans. Assist in managing the transition, minimising disruption, and risk with a critical focus on Global teams and local legislation/requirements.
Organisational Design and Effectiveness: Evaluate the organisational structure and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness to support the delivery of the business strategy and objectives.
Performance Management: Engage with the Centres of Excellence and senior leadership to execute performance management strategies to optimise colleague performance, including KPIs, performance reviews, and development plans.
Talent Management: Partner with the Centres of Excellence to develop and execute talent strategies, including workforce planning, talent pipelines, succession planning, and high-potential identification. Identifies critical / key talent in their area(s) and proactively flags risks / key issues.
Colleague Experience: Deliver and embed initiatives to enhance colleague experience. Promote and role-model a programme of activities linked to values and behaviours that increase engagement, diversity, inclusivity, recognition, retention, and enhance culture.
Data-Driven Insights and Recommendations: Utilise [HR] data analytics to evaluate, inform and provide strategic insights and recommendations related to the HR initiatives, enabling informed decision-making and identification of potential future issues, or opportunities.
Learning and Development: Identify training needs and engage Centres of Excellence to design programmes to enhance skills, behaviours, and competencies. Support the implementation and imbedding of L&D programs, use [qualitative and quantitative] data to provide recommendations and feedback for continuous development. Act as a coach and mentor senior leaders to enhance their leadership capabilities.
Employee Relations: Act as senior advisor for complex ER issues, identifying and mitigating risks of employment litigation and providing recommendations and coaching to leaders and HR colleagues. Ensure full compliance with employment laws and regulations. Advise on market leading opportunities linked to our proposition.
HR Excellence & Governance: Provide credible counsel and influence to ensure people related governance is adhered to and any risks are raised through the appropriate channels. Stay at the forefront of HR trends and legislative changes. Drive continuous improvement in HR processes, policies, and practices to elevate our colleague experience.
What we are looking for in you

  • Proven experience as a strategic Senior HR Business Partner or Head of HR role previously, in a global matrix environment.

  • CIPD Level 7 (or working towards accreditation / comparable business experience).

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and influence financial and operational metrics.

  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and regulations across a number of our global locations.

  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, adept at managing a diverse group of stakeholders and competing demands, able to influence and shape thinking.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to adjust communication style to meet the needs to the audience.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and influence change.

  • Demonstrable experience in talent management, organisation design, transformation and change, performance management, workforce planning, employee relations, conflict resolution.

  • Comfortable in fast-paced cultures, can adapt to transformation and change and thrive in this sort of environment.

  • Experience using Workday or larger HCM, such as SAP or Oracle.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office.


  • Desirable Requirements
  • Knowledge or working experience of international markets (European, APAC and/or North America).

  • Passion for or experience of working in the technology or cyber security industry.

  • M&A and TUPE experience.
