Assistant Stage Manager - Opera: Maternity Cover x2 and Fixed-Term x1

We are seeking to recruit three Assistant Stage Managers, two fixed-term maternity cover contracts and one 12-month fixed-term contract, to work with the Opera Stage Management team in ensuring the smooth running of opera rehearsals and performances.

Our ideal candidate will be a dynamic and highly organised individual with relevant stage management and theatre experience who can evidence the following:

• Professional stage management experience in theatre and/or opera, with a degree in Stage Management or equivalent qualification an advantage.


• An ability to project confidence and exercise tact and diplomacy in relationships with creative teams and artists.


• Good score reading ability and some experience of prompt book preparation.


• Able to read and interpret technical drawings accurately with experience in mark out procedures.


• Strong awareness of and adherence to Health and Safety policy and best practice., Applicants must have work authorisation for the UK. No agencies.
