Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a motivated, friendly and dedicated team driving growth of the Oxford Test of English suite of tests. Your role is key to building the network of universities and organizations which accept students' results for this suite of English language proficiency tests. We are looking for a self-motivated and resourceful individual. You will be equally comfortable working on an individual basis to maintain relationships and influence decision-makers, alongside being a team-player to support colleagues in their conversations with key stakeholders.

Are you working in Admissions and looking for your next challenge in the international education landscape? Do you work in International recruitment? This role is equally suited to those from sales or marketing background with a passion for education and those with a background in English language teaching or assessment.

You will be a key player in the team responsible for recognition in priority international markets alongside providing centralised support to teams working in their local market. Based in the UK, you will build contacts, hold virtual meetings and travel to represent us at conferences and events. You will have a focus on building recognition in designated countries where education is taught through the English-medium. You will ensure that students who take the Oxford Test of English can access the next step of their journey, whether admission to Higher Education or career progression, through gaining recognition of the test by governments and individual organizations.

As a member of the Assessment marketing team, your days will be varied. You will initiate and develop individual contacts, contribute to the planning and attendance at events, continually evolve our materials and make presentations to audiences, including government departments, in a variety of countries. You will provide support to teams working on international and local recognition.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a customer-focused and pro-active individual, capable of building and maintaining multiple stakeholder relationships concurrently.

You will

  • have experience of building positive relationships and influencing decisions with organizational leadership to support diverse, individual country needs

  • have the ability to contribute to planning, following through with structured plans for implementation

  • have the ability to work with multifunctional teams in different locations

  • have an attention to detail

  • have knowledge and understanding of the international education landscape and/or the English language testing environment

  • demonstrate flexibility to engage with colleagues and stakeholders in time-zones throughout the world

  • be willing to travel to other countries as required

Education changes lives forever. It broadens horizons, breaks down barriers, and fires imaginations. Like the University of Oxford, of which we are a part, we are committed to uncompromising standards and the enrichment of lives through education. This is our motivation, our purpose, and our mission. It is why 100% of the money we make is reinvested into education and research. It is why we all care deeply about reaching more people, in more places, with world-class learning and research materials and services. We partner with researchers, educators and technology partners to stay ahead of the changing ways people around the world are accessing and sharing knowledge. The Oxford Test of English suite of proficiency tests is built on these principles.

We care about work/life balance here at OUP. With this in mind we offer 25 days' holiday that rises with service, plus bank holidays and Christmas closure (3-days) and a 35-hour working week. We are open to discussing flexibility in respect to working patterns, dependent on role. We also have a great variety of active employee networks and societies.

  • We help make your money go further by contributing to your pension up to 12%, offering loans and savings schemes through our partnership with Salary Finance, in addition to travel to work schemes and access to a wide range of local discounts.
