Assistant Quantity Surveyor

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working as part of a forward-thinking commercial team to deliver affordable housing, private residential, commercial and industrial schemes throughout the region.

Working alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors, your job will be to support in the deliver of projects in a cost-effective, quality focused manor. Due to the expansion of the business, there are genuine opportunities to progress in your role and build a long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices/applications for payments


• Support Commercial department as and when required


• Receive tenders and assist with the analysis sheet for each trade comparing tender levels


• Assist with the compiling of tender packages for sub-contract trades


• Assist with the issuing of sub-contract orders


• Attend site, client and team meetings
  
  The ideal candidate for the Assistant Quantity Surveyor job will have a proven track record in a similar role in either a construction main contracting or private residential developer environment. You will also need to be proactive, positive and confident communicating at all levels and able to work as part of a close-knit team.


• Relevant Quantity Surveying experience in a construction main contracting or residential environment


• Ambitious, career driven attitude


• Quantity Surveying degree/qualification


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
