Assistant Procurement Manager - Indirect Services & Materials

This role will be up to 10 month Fixed Term Contract. We are looking for a dynamic individual who has appropriate procurement experience, to meet the needs of the key responsibilities, working within a fast-paced environment, ideally from within a digitally mature industry or heavy presence online retailer. The individual will have a global support remit in service sourcing and cost reduction across key categories.

Key categories across digital include Marketing and Performance Marketing, SaaS tech. licensing, as well as more traditional cost categories. Project managing a number of ad-hoc support projects will be a key activity within the role.

Taking a lead role in managing supplier performance meetings, plus monitoring and expediting performance improvements.

The department will be expanding and evolving quickly over the coming 12-18 months. The expectation is that the candidate will be keen to develop within the role and enhance their responsibilities within a short period of time, taking on more cost initiative projects.

As an Assistant Procurement Manager you will

• Assist in developing procurement strategies for indirect categories such as IT, Marketing, Facilities, Corporate Services etc.


• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs and requirements and build strategic relationships.


• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts.


• Undertake spend mapping analysis of all indirect spend, providing Procurement Manager (PM) with analysis and cost saving opportunities.


• Procurement Excellence Manager. Management and updating of contract database including mapping renewal dates.


• Work closely with Procurement Manager on sourcing searches and quotation benchmarking.


• Provide full tender support to the procurement manager, including RFI/RFP as directed, including collation of responses and score carding with appropriate analysis provided.


• Work closely with procurement manager to develop set of supplier KPI's and monitoring of as part of supplier reviews and on quarterly basis.


• Take ownership of cost initiative projects as directed by the Procurement Manager as part of their personal development plan, and in accordance with Procurement director expected annual savings targets.
  
  Previous indirect procurement/purchasing experience within retail


• Strong negotiation and communication skills


• Proven project management experience track record a must have.


• Strong operational stakeholder relationship development and management.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong in data analysis, and have excel analytical expertise, including Vlookups, nested 'if' statements, pivot tables filters etc.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively


• Some experience in formal Contract development would be a distinct advantage.
